How It Works
If you would love a drawing of your beloved pet but don't know where to begin or how it works, then read on.
I'll take you through the, process step -by-step so that you can feel confident with your decision to book your very own commission.
1. Book Your Slot
A non-refundable deposit of 50% (or £60, whichever is higher) is required to secure your booking. For mini portraits, the full balance is due upfront. The remaining balance plus postage is payable once your portrait is finished.
2. Send Reference Photos
Please provide clear, good-quality digital photos with natural lighting and plenty of detail. Feel free to send multiple images; we’ll choose the best ones together to suit your budget and vision.
* The better the photo, the better the drawing will be!
* Memorial portraits: I know high-quality photos aren’t always possible. I’ll do my best with what you have, but if the photos are too blurry for a detailed portrait, a mini or set of minis may be a more suitable option.
3. Timeline
Commissions are usually completed within 4 weeks, though some may be finished faster. If you have a specific deadline (e.g. a birthday), please let me know. I’ll do my best to fit you into the schedule.
4. Drawing Time
I create each portrait using artist-grade, lightfast coloured pencils on archival, acid-free paper, ensuring your artwork will last a lifetime.
You’ll receive progress updates and can request minor adjustments along the way. My goal is to capture your pet’s character as closely as possible.
5. Framing
All artwork comes mounted. Framing is available on request at additional cost. Please note this will also increase the overall shipping cost, so bear this in mind when ordering.
6. Final Payment & Shipping
Once complete, the remaining balance (plus postage and packaging) is due before shipping. All pieces are carefully packaged to ensure safe delivery.
